At times my plans for my breeding program reach beyond the square footage in my home. I value a happy group of reasonable size so they can be together as a little pack, all in the house as part of the family. When I have wanted to keep a bloodline going but do not have the space for another "keeper", or the ability to add another dog to my show schedule, I have worked out partnerships with a few trusted friends. I have also placed some with the agreement for a puppy returned, and am a co-owner just "on paper" to enable me to carry on those lines a generation later when the space/timing is better for my program.
