About Us
EQ Bostons is family owned and operated. My husband
grew up with Bostons and I always had a soft spot for
them. We've found that the Boston has been the perfect
family dog. The Boston is a patient breed and large
enough to endure clumsy hugs by toddlers, yet small
enough not to knock your kids down when they get
rambunctious. We recently started showing and feel an
automatic addiction to it! We'll definitely be doing much
more in the near future.
We live in Washington state, near the Idaho border. All
of our dogs live inside with us and are part of the family.
We have been fortunate to have dealt with some
wonderful breeders where we've been able to find the
bloodlines and type of Boston we like, and have been
able to acquire a foundation of quality that we are proud
of. Of course we are still learning, but feel we have made
some big steps in the right direction.
We strive to breed healthy show quality Boston Terriers,
so our ultimate goal is to see our puppies in a family type
show home. We want to see our babies shown, but we
also want them to be part of the family. We do sell some
of our puppies as pets only, and in those cases, they are
sold on limited registration with a spay/neuter agreement.

EQ???
Once in a while I get the question, "What does
'EQ' stand for?". It's a long explanation, but I'll
try to sum it up. EQ stands for "Emotional
Quotient" (if not already familiar with the
subject, I encourage anyone to do a Google
search on it and read some articles. It's
interesting.)
Just like IQ stands for "Intelligence Quotient",
EQ is a measure of your emotional
intelligence, or basically if you handle things
based on well thought out reasoning or if
you're letting emotion control your actions. It's
the ability to say, "What's right in this situation,
not just what do I FEEL like doing?".
I've used this for the business name "EQ
Global" for several years now, because that
was the way I wanted to run my business... in
an emotionally intelligent way. When I started
to raise Bostons, it made sense to continue
with that foundation.
